WARRANTY
AJF Enterprises (Xtend Technologies) warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the purchase date unless noted otherwise. If this product fails because of defects in materials or workmanship within 12 months from the original date of purchase, Xtend Technologies will service/repair or, at its option, replace those components found to be defective with products of similar value/specifications. Product MUST be brought or shipped to Xtend Technologies, at the cost of the purchaser, for warranty work to be performed. Xtend Technologies does not offer an immediate “swap out” of products under warranty, especially where testing is required to determine the nature of the product problem.
SYSTEM WARRANTIES
Xtend Technologies warrants custom-built systems (systems built by Xtend) to be free of defects in material and craftsmanship for a period of 12 months. If a component is found to be defective, it will be replaced with one of like value/specifications. Service and/or support for third party computer systems – systems not made by Xtend Technologies – is handled by the manufacturer or when possible by Xtend Technologies. Terms of warranty are stated on the warranty card included with the system. All inquiries or questions about said systems should be directed to the manufacturer’s support departments when applicable.
COMPONENT WARRANTIES
Xtend Technologies will warrant any product sold separately for 12 months. After 12 months (and provided the component has a manufacturer’s warranty of longer than 12 months), the customer must send the product back to the manufacturer, who will most likely honor the return with a copy of your sales receipt. Peripherals and components such as printers, Ethernet products, scanners, or cameras are supported by the manufacturer of the product if such support exists.
USED PRODUCT WARRANTIES
Products sold as “used” or “as is” are covered only by the manufacturer’s warranty. All inquiries or problems must be directed to the manufacturer, NOT Xtend Technologies. Used products are non-returnable.
RETURN POLICY:
Xtend Technologies does NOT offer a money back guarantee or refund. However, we will allow a return or exchange of unopened and/or uninstalled components and peripherals within 30 days of purchase if provided with the original sales receipt and all documentation of the product. A 20% restocking fee may be imposed. We will try our best at the time of purchase to make sure the product is what you need, but it is the responsibility of the purchaser to make sure the product is what you need. Systems may be returned within 14 days of purchase if provided with the original sales receipt and all documentation of the product. A 20% restocking fee may be imposed. Please make sure that the system or component is what you need before making your purchase. Refunds will not be given for opened software, for any reason. Refunds will not be given on parts after 30 days or on systems after 14 days. Defective products may be exchanged within 12 months only with the original sales receipt. All returns may be charged a 20% restocking fee. Any shipping is paid for by the customer. No returns on all special order items.
Xtend Technologies is only responsible for honoring its warranty or return policy if the following conditions are met:
1. Original customer receipt MUST be provided for warranty to be honored. Xtend Technologies is not responsible for lost receipts. We ask that you hold on to your receipt.
2. Any manuals, boxes, or software, etc. that are included with a particular product MUST also be returned if the unit needs to be exchanged or returned. Usually manuals are included with products. Should a manual not be provided, it is the customer’s responsibility to request a manual within one week of purchase and we will try our best to accommodate you.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Xtend Technologies is not responsible for, nor shall it warrant or support, any software on a system, including DOS, Windows (even if purchased from us) or any shareware that we may have installed. Please consult any manuals included with installed software for support options. Should it be determined that a system brought in for “warranty” repair was malfunctioning due to software, the customer will be billed a minimum of $95 per hour for service. Xtend Technologies is not responsible for giving free technical support for installations or integration of any software or component the customer did not pay Xtend Technologies to install, nor is Xtend Technologies responsible for onsite operating system technical support (DOS, Windows, Windows NT, Windows 2000, UNIX, etc.) that we did install, unless a service agreement or onsite warranty was purchased. These will only be honored within the Cities of Brecksville and Broadview Heights.
Xtend Technologies is not responsible at any time for loss of data and/or time, even with hardware or software failure. Customers are responsible for backing up any data for their own protection before servicing. It is wise, with any computer system, to back up your data as frequently as you deem necessary.
Xtend Technologies is not responsible for any loss of work (“down time”) caused by a product needing to be serviced. In general, (depending on the level of workload and/or specific problem expertise), Xtend Technologies can typically provide a 1–2 day turn around time on servicing equipment. The best way to get a unit back quickly is to get it to Xtend Technologies as quickly as possible.
This warranty will not apply if the defect or malfunction was due to damage resulting from operation not with or outside of manufacturer’s specifications, or any abuse or misuse. Computer viruses are not covered under warranty. The changing of an e-mail, BIOS, or system password is also not covered under warranty. Xtend Technologies retains the right to void a customer’s warranty should it be determined that anyone but a Xtend Technologies technician attempts to service or repair the product. Xtend Technologies will not warrant any problems resulting from force majure, including, but not limited to, an act of nature (lightning, flood, etc.), electrical spikes or surges, theft, vandalism, or problems arising out of any hardware, software, or additional devices added to and/or complementing any system or component sold by Xtend Technologies.
There are no returns on software if it has been opened unless determined to be defective. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.
Xtend Technologies assumes no responsibility for damage done to a system while being serviced. Loss of data may occur in the process or repairing a system. Therefore, you should back up any vital data before service. We warrant that service will be done accurately, but in no way do we guarantee that any certain problem is fixable or that additional repairs will not be needed.
